Radeon 9500 Hacking

25

There seems to be all kinds of hubbub going on lately about tweaking Radeon9500 and Radeon9500pro cards into much higher performance cards. It started out with bios tweaking, but now it looks like the hackers have gotten it down to software packages. Check out this page as or the new RivaTuner. Anyone wanna post results?

    ive got two questions.

1: how stable is it, any video corruption problems (people that didn't do the hardware mod)?

2: how availabe are the 9500, are retailers pulling them and shipping 9500PRO?

I did it without the hardware mod. Worked wonders, 3DMark went up 3000 points, no artifacts/corruption in 3DMark or AC2, haven't really tested it solidly in a lot of games.

      So far, so good!
