Codemasters Signs WW2 RTS

Codemasters today announced that they have acquired the publishing rights to 1C Company's untitled WW2 RTS. This game is coming out in 2004, hopefully with a real title by then. You can find some screenshots here.

Still waiting for someone to make a decent WWII tactical level game that isn't real time. There have been three failed attempts to make Squad Leader into a computer game....I'm still waiting.....

I just read this off the codemaster site:

Codemasters today confirms it has secured the global publishing rights to Ã¢Â€ÂœWorld War II: RTSÃ¢Â€Â (development title only) from 1C Company, the leading Russian game company renowned for the acclaimed flight simulator, IL-2 Sturmovik.

HELL FUCKING YES. I'm incredibly hyped up for this now.

These guys and the crew from BF1942 need to sit down together, some a whole bunch of chronic and come up with the most awesome MMP coop multiplayer game ever.
