Quake 3 Mac News
by Maarten Goldstein, Oct 08, 2002 4:56am PDTFor all two of you looking forward to the Mac version of the Quake 3 1.32 point release, id's Graeme Devine updated his .plan about that. Right now it's running at all of 7fps under Mac OS X 10.2 so it's not ready for release quite yet. Update: looks like the performance issue has been fixed, the Mac point release should be out today.

Mac Point Release 1.32
Worked through the night on the Mac build. All performance issues under 10.2 have been fixed. The final point release will be available today, but while PunkBuster support is final in this client, PunkBuster servers, which are run by Even Balance, need to be updated to allow play.
Graeme.
In July Duffy mentions the point release, we get it 3 months later, sans the Mac release.
A unified release would have been a little more professional. Oh well, hopefully Graeme will help the luddites, errr, Mac people out soon.
