Insomniac teased a new, original VR project for Oculus Rift during a developer spotlight last week. The team walked viewers through the lessons they learned throughout the creative processes for recent releases, ending with some key art for the new game and phrase "reclaim your world."

Today, the team officially revealed that the game is called Stormland and places players in the role of an android gardener on a lush alien planet. The enemy, called Tempest, shattered your body and now you must journey across the cloudscape to augment yourself and save your android friends.

The unique spaces in Stormland can be explored solo or with companions. Movement was discussed a few times in the previous tease for this new title and, from a first-person perspective, players will be able to climb cliffs, glide across chasms, and fly. The typical Insomniac touch when it comes to unique weapons will be on full display as well and there's a taste in the trailer above.

Stormland is coming to Oculus Rift sometime in 2019, so stay tuned to Shacknews for additional details revealed over time.
