Super Mario Odyssey Datamine Uncovers Five Unreleased Costumes

If you've ever wanted to see Mario dressed like Santa Claus, prepare to be amazed.

Costumes are some of the best parts of Super Mario Odyssey, and there are so many awesome ones to choose from. It appears there are still more hidden within the game that we can see ahead of their official announcement from Nintendo. Thanks to some talented dataminers, we can feast our eyes on five new costumes that are just as fun (and silly) as those we've already seen before.

YouTuber Mizumi went spelunking, as it were, in Super Mario Odyssey, and happened upon the following costumes, including an 8-bit Mario "hat," Santa Claus, zombie Mario, and other whimsical looks. You can see them all below.

Here's Mario in his best race car driver duds. 

And here's Mario as Santa. 

Bet you never thought you'd see a Mario zombie. 

Here's Mario in a powdered wig for some reason.

This 8-bit Mario Cap is clearly the best outfit of the entire bunch. 

Nintendo hasn't announced release dates for any of these costumes, nor have they been officially acknowledged, but they're very real and hidden within the bowels of the game. Looks like it's only a matter of time before we can dress up with some of these very cute outfits. What do you think, Mario fans? Are they going to be a hit?
