Watch Out Behind You, Night Trap 25th Anniversary Edition is Headed to Switch

The FMV adventure is coming to Switch, horrible song and all.

If you're anything like me, you love kitschy classic FMV games. Night Trap is one of those. In fact, it's one of the "best" in that it's one of the worst out there. That's what makes it so awesome, though. The cheesy songs, terrible acting, and overall awfulness makes it such an attractive offer. I made sure to jump on it when it was released as Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition (as much as I could, thanks to limited quantities and scalpers) when it released for PlayStation 4 and PC last August. It's coming to Xbox One soon, but now it's also hitting another platform: Nintendo Switch.

Developer Screaming Villains just announced the good news, along with confirmation from Limited Run Games that a limited-print physical edition would be coming for Switch, There's also a digital version for the Nintendo eShop setting down this summer.

Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition, which launched for PlayStation 4 and PC in August 2017, and is still on the way for Xbox One, is coming to Switch via the Nintendo eShop this summer, developer Screaming Villains announced. Not too shabby for a game released all the way back in 1992.

This release, in addition to making this vampire surveillance game (yeah, that's what it's about -- you're saving a bunch of teenagers from vampires) look even better, has some extra goodies. Deleted scenes, two documentaries, and a new Survivor mode will test your limits. There's also a prototype called Scene of the Crime, which will be released and fully playable with Night Trap: 25th Anniversary Edition.

It's time to get ready for the cheesiest of the cheese. I've got my marinara dipping sauce ready.
