Not only are the expansive environments within developer Fatshark's latest title Warhammer: Vermintide 2 steeped in the blood of the Skaven and Chaos armies, they also provide a lush and beautifully detailed backdrop for players running the game on reasonably modern hardware. Gamers with PC components getting into middle age may have to kick their settings down a bit to get the most out of the game, but players with enough system RAM and a decent graphics card should have no problem checking out the best visuals that Vermintide 2 has to offer.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Minimum and Recommended PC System Requirements

Since a large number of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 players are likely to install the game via popular distribution service Steam, the requirements we've listed below are the same system requirements provided by developer Fatshark on the Vermintide 2 Steam page:

Minimum System Requirements:

• 64-bit processor running a 64-bit operating system
• Intel Core i5-2300 running at 2.8GHz or AMD FX-4350 running at 4.2GHz
• 6 GB System RAM
• Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD 5870 Graphics
• DirectX 11
• 45 GB Hard Drive Storage Space

Recommended System Requirements:

• 64-bit processor running a 64-bit operating system
• Intel Core i7-3770 running at 3.5GHz or AMD FX-8350 running at 4.0GHz
• 8 GB System RAM
• Nvidia GeForce GTX 970/1060 or ATI Radeon R9 Graphics
• DirectX 12
• 45 GB Hard Drive Storage Space

According to a post over on the Steam forums, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is built using the Autodesk Stingray game engine, and players will likely notice that the game requires a little more power than might be expected. It should run smoothly on medium settings using something like a GTX 1050, but those running older hardware or running the game in ultrawide resolutions may need to step the overall quality down to Low in order to get a smooth 60 frames per second. Anyone with a newer graphics card should have no trouble running the game at higher resolutions or with higher graphics settings.
