Destiny 2 - Loot-a-Palooza Key

Where to get a Loot-a-Palooza Key and how to use it in Destiny 2.

Destiny has always held a certain air of mystery. Whether it’s trying to figure out how Three of Coins work or how the Mod system functions, there’s always something new to discover. Players are beginning to stumble across something hidden in The Tower of Destiny 2 that requires an item called a Loot-a-Palooza Key or Dance Party Key.

Loot-a-Palooza Key

The Loot-a-Palooza Key is an item that can only be earned from defeating Emperor Calus in the Leviathan Raid – so if you don’t have a team of six to run the raid, you’re fresh out of luck. However, even if you do have a team prepared to clear the Calus fight, there’s no guarantee you’ll even receive one of these keys as they are incredibly rare.

In the event you do manage to score yourself a Loot-a-Palooza key, you will need to take it to The Tower, to a screen over behind Dead Orbit. Using the key on this monitor activates a treasure hunt with a time limit.

You will need to hunt down and collect all of Cayde-6’s treasure chests that he’s hidden around the hangar. Some are in tricky spots, but the good news is you’ll receive a buff that lets you jump higher after you collect one. When all the chests are collected, you’ll receive a Dance Party Key.

Dance Party Key

With the Dance Party Key in hand, you’ll have a very important decision to make: where do you want to host your Dance Party? There are currently three locations that accept the Dance Party Key, and they are all located near each Faction: Future War Cult, New Monarchy, and Dead Orbit.

Take the Dance Party Key to your chosen venue and then activate the small monitor nearby. Once activated, a Public Event will trigger and notify everyone in The Tower that a Dance Party has started. There will even be a chest at the Dance Party, which everyone can open for a chance at some sweet loot.

The hardest part of all this is actually getting the Loot-a-Palooza Key to drop in the first place. To improve your odds of getting one, consider creating a second and even third character with which to run the raid, as the more times you run it, the more chances of receiving a Loot-a-Palooza Key in Destiny 2.
