To close out the Paris Games Week media showcase, Sony showed off their upcoming third-person zombie shooter The Last of Us 2.
The gameplay opened with a couple women being taken captive. One was asked "where is the other apostate" before they started to torture her. Then, an arrow hit one of the captors from the woods and all hell broke loose. The new trailer gave some narrative details by showing that there are different groups other than the Fireflies fighting each other in addition to taking on the zombie crisis (one called the
The Last of Us 2 will be built upon what the devs call the "evolution" of Naughty Dog's game engine. After the release of Lost Legacy, the team is digging into development for the post-apocalyptic shooter. No release window has been revealed as of yet.
