Television has been slowly jumping on esports bandwagon more and more, with Turner Broadcasting creating its own ELEAGUE tournament and content brand. The content portion will be launching a four-part series on TBS on August 4 called the Road to the International DOTA 2 Championships.

The series will focus on professional players and teams in what is now the largest and most lucrative esports tournament ever. The first few episodes will focus on individual and team preparation, while the later episodes will look at how they fared in the tournament. The one-hour episodes will air on August 4, 11, and 25 at 10 p.m., and Aug. 18 at 11 p.m. The times reflect ET and PT.

The week prior to the launch of the series, TBS will air the Valve documentary Free to Play, which follows three professional gamers as they get ready to participate in the very first DOTA 2 International event. Esports shoutcaster Toby “TobiWan” Dawson and ELEAGUE host Richard Lewis will offer commentary alongside the documentary. It will air on July 28 at 10 p.m.

The International event, which currently has a prize pool of $21.6 million with 26 days left in the crowdfunding, will kick off on August 7 in Seattle, and run through August 12. Eighteen teams from around the world will be vying for bragging rights and the record prize money.
