Everyone knows that Blizzard loves to have fun with its games, usually in the form of themed updates. Heroes of the Storm has some participants preparing for summer, even as the game prepares to introduce Diablo 3's Malthael, as a new hero. Overwatch's D.Va was the last addition in late April with the Heroes of the Storm 2.0 update.
In its latest "In development" video, Blizzard shows us that the Reaper of Souls will be coming in the next update, although exact details of his abilities have not been released yet. However, what really will set this update apart is the wacky - and even unsettling - summer-themed skins coming. Tychus will be all buffed out in his bathing suit and splashing sunscreen on himself while wielding his multicolored nerf gun. Tracer will be decked in a cute two-piece ensemble complete with dual water guns. And in perhaps the most disturbing look, we get the Undead Stitches in a bikini.
New mounts are also being introduced, including a surfboard with various skins, perfect for beach assaults. There is also a Whimsyshire Cloud from the land of Diablo 3's level of rainbows and ponies. There are also plenty of new sprays in the works.
Check out the video below for the tease, and expect full PTR patch notes in the next day or so. the background music should have been Summer Nights.
