During The Game Awards 2022 a new entry in the Bayonetta series was revealed called Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon. According to a tweet from Nintendo of America, Bayonetta fans will be able to play as both a young version of Cereza as well as Viola's pal Cheshire in the game while working to solve puzzles and fend off faeries.

This theme is echoed in the description for the game's reveal trailer, which also notes that pre-orders are open right now on the Nintendo eShop. Currently, Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon is set to release on Nintendo Switch on March 17, 2023.
