All Ascendant Anchor locations - Destiny 2

Published , by Sam Chandler

Ascendant Anchors are one of the many collectibles added to Destiny 2 with Season of the Lost. These purple nodes appear in patrol zones and the Shattered Realm on a rotating schedule, so finding them all is going to take a few weeks of work. They’re pretty easy to see from a distance, but there are a couple of Ascendant Anchors that can be tough to find.

Ascendant Anchor locations

The Ascendant Anchors have the classic Dreaming City appearance of something a bit dainty and purple. These anchors appear around patrol zones (like the EDZ and Tangled Shore) as well as in the Shattered Realm’s various locations (Forest of Echoes, Debris of Dreams, etc). Players that want to get them all will need to come back each week, as they’re on a weekly rotation schedule.

European Dead Zone (EDZ)

Trostland

The first one in Trostland can be found right near the fast travel point.

The second Ascendant Anchor in Trostland is directly north of the fast travel point, across the road and up on the balcony.

This next Ascendant Anchor is inside the chapel in Trostland on some crates.

This Ascendant Anchor is behind the chapel, in the destroyed building in the corner.

Another Ascendant Anchor is to the right of the chapel, at the top of the destroyed building.

Winding Cove

The first one in Winding Cove can be found in front of the fast travel point, behind the hole that leads to the Lost Sector.

This Ascendant Anchor is on the cliff near the downed Fallen ship in the corner of the Winding Cove.

To find this Ascendant Anchor, start at the Winding Cove fast travel point and go right. It’s up high on a cliff along the road that leads back to the Outskirts.

Another Ascendant Anchor can be found along the highway that leads from the Winding Cove to Firebase Hades, on top of the cliff overlooking the road.

The Gulch

This Ascendant Anchor is to the right of the fast travel point in the Gulch.

To find this Ascendant Anchor, start at the fast travel point and go along the road that leads deeper into the Gulch until you reach the broken bridge. Look to the right to spot the anchor by a generator.

This Ascendant Anchor is, again, along the right-hand side of the cliff from the fast travel point. This time, cross the broken bridge and double-back to the right and into the valley between the rocks. The anchor is above the Cabal enemies.

The next Ascendant Anchor is in the heart of the Gulch, to the right of the large tunnel entrance, up on the rocks.

The last one in the Gulch is opposite the tunnel, up on the hill beside a small building.

The Sludge

This Ascendant Anchor is to the left of the fast travel point, through the building and up on the hill.

Go to the south side of the Sludge to find this Ascendant Anchor near where the Glimmer Extraction public event takes place.

This Ascendant Anchor is on the left side of the Sludge, near the path to the Gulch.

The last Ascendant Anchor in the Sludge is along the north side, in a passage just before the Lost Sector.

Sunken Isles

The first Ascendant Anchor is to the left of the fast travel point in the Sunken Isles.

Another Ascendant Anchor is further around to the left of the fast travel point, up on the side of the area.

The next Ascendant Anchor is by the massive ship, in the water beside the base.

The fourth Ascendant Anchor is to the right of the fast travel point, on a little bit of land in the water.

The last Ascendant Anchor in the area is to the right of the fast travel point, closer to the large ship.

Tangled Shore Ascendant Anchors

During the second week, Ascendant Anchors appeared on the Tangled Shore in Thieves’ Landing and Soriks’s Cut. There are eight to find in each area.

An Ascendant Anchor can be found in the north of Thieves’ Landing, at the start of the tunnel that goes to Soriks’s Cut.

Another one is on the opposite side of the tunnel entrance that goes from Thieves’ Landing to Soriks’s Cut.

Find this Ascendant Anchor behind a Fallen structure just over the two bridges that leads to Four-Horn Gulch.

The next Ascendant Anchor is behind the elevator that takes you to Four-Horn Gulch from Thieves’ Landing. It is over the side of the building, on the rocks.

Find this Ascendant Anchor above the destroyed Fallen Walker on the left side of Soriks’s Cut.

Another Ascendant Anchor is to the right of the fast travel location in Soriks’s Cut. You can spot it inside a tunnel.

Moon

Sorrow’s Harbor

There are seven Ascendant Anchors to find in Sorrow’s Harbor and they’re all around the edge of the area. Just work your way around clockwise and you’ll find them all really easily.

The first Ascendant Anchor on the Moon is to the left of the fast travel location. Follow the edge of the cliff to the purple beam of light to spot it.

Another Ascendant Anchor is to the left of the fast travel point in Sorrow’s Harbor, beside a set of stairs.

Go left from the fast travel point and follow the edge of the cliff until you reach the stairs that lead up to the main altar – the Ascendant Anchor is on the stairs.

This Ascendant Anchor is in the top-right corner of Sorrow’s Harbor, against the wall of the Red Keep.

Another Ascendant Anchor can be found on the right-hand side of Sorrow’s Harbor, near the edge beside a rock.

Go to the lower-right hand side of Sorrow’s Harbor to spot another Ascendant Anchor near the Hive bridge.

This Ascendant Anchor is along the bottom edge of Sorrow’s Harbor, tucked up against the hillside.

Sanctuary

There are only five Ascendant Anchors to locate in the Sanctuary area of the Moon.

The first Ascendant Anchor in Sanctuary is to the left of the fast travel point.

This next Ascendant Anchor is a little further left of the fast travel point than the last one.

Another Ascendant Anchor is across from the fast travel point and to the left, tucked behind the solar panels. You’ll need to pass by the Lectern of Enchantment.

To the right of the fast travel point is the next Ascendant Anchor, on the rocks that lead to the Anchor of Light.

The last Ascendant Anchor is to the right of Sanctuary, along the path towards Archer’s Line.

Shattered Realm: Forest of Echoes

The first Ascendant Anchor can be found in the glade just before the church and the crypt. It’s in the knot of trees where some Taken are lurking. The area is called the Dark Forest.

The second Ascendant Anchor is below the tree in the Dark Forest, through a barrier. Drop down to the lower area to find it on a rock plinth.

Another Ascendant Anchor is behind the crypt that’s right near the church.

To the right of the crypt, as if heading to the second beacon, is another Ascendant Anchor. This one is floating out over the abyss. Use the True Sight sign that’s on the edge to reach it.

Find another Ascendant Anchor in the crypt near the church. Use the Barrier Breach sign to gain access and then search the hallway for the anchor.

Another Ascendant Anchor is found on a platform between the Ruins and the cave below the tree in the Dark Forest. This can be found by going below the tree using the Barrier Breach, and then using the True Sight to jump across platforms to reach it. Alternatively, start at the Ruins and go into the back corner and use the True Sight there to reach it.

This Ascendant Anchor is behind the Ruins, in a small cave along a series of platforms. Go to the back corner of the Ruins (the area to the right of the start of the Forest of Echoes) and use the True Sight that’s in the corner. Follow the platforms down and into a small cave. The anchor will be on a rock in the corner and there’s also a chest behind a barrier here.

To find this Ascendant Anchor, you must go to the cave below the Ruins (as mentioned in the previous ones). The Ruins are to the right of the starting point. Use the True Sight sign in the corner to see platforms that lead down to the cave. When you enter the cave, stick to the left-hand side to find a barrier. Use the signs in the cave to go through the barrier and see the platforms, which lead up to the anchor and the Sunken Cave area.

The final Ascendant Anchor is on the water wheel by the second beacon.

Shattered Realm: Debris of Dreams

During the second week of Season of the Lost, the Debris of Dreams section of the Shattered Realm opened, granting access to portion of the area’s Ascendant Anchors.

This Ascendant Anchor is behind the steep shaft at the second beacon in the Derelict Shipyard.

Over the side of the boss arena on a ledge, right near the True Sight sign is where this Ascendant Anchor is found.

Find this Ascendant Anchor to the right of the main area, across a gap and down on a ledge. This is the Encampment zone that leads to a building far off on the right.

Another Ascendant Anchor is below the main area (the Ruined Outpost), out on a ledge. This can be reached by using the True Sight platforms or by walking through the slow field.

Another Ascendant Anchor is below the Ruined Outpost and then below the slow field in a cavern.

This Ascendant Anchor is to the left of the Ruined Outpost, out across the gap toward the first beacon location. Instead of following the main path up the hill, loop around the back.

This Ascendant Anchor is up at the Shattered Enclave. Work your way to the first beacon to spot it floating out in the distance. Use the True Sight post to make platforms appear.

This Ascendant Anchor requires the True Sight ability upgrade (Ascendant Sight) and the first beacon. It can be found at the top of the hill that leads to the first beacon. It is floating out in the air on the right, along the path that leads to the Perilous Path Trivial Mystery.

An Ascendant Anchor can be found to the right of the first beacon, behind the short tower. You will need to use the True Sight sign that is near the base of the tall tower.

Another Ascendant Anchor is between the Hive portal near the first beacon.

This Ascendant Anchor is in the Debris Field, to the left of the slowing effect. You don't need the Safe Passage sign, but it will make it easier.

Find this Ascendant Anchor in the Debris Field, right in the middle floating out above the abyss. Use the True Sight sign to make platforms appear so you can reach it.

An Ascendant Anchor is inside the tunnels to the right of the Debris Field. Go right of the Debris Field toward the ribcage and then into the tunnels. Work your way to the circular ara with pillars, the anchor is up against the wall.

This Ascendant Anchor is inside the tunnels to the right of the Debris Field, too. It’s in a portion of the tunnel that has more ribcages.

Another Ascendant Anchor is to the left of the Debris Field, near the second beacon. It’s at one end of the spikey Hive bridges.

To find this Ascendant Anchor, go inside the building to the right of the first beacon. Drop down, go through the barrier and down the next chute. In the next room, go down the hole into the lower area to find the anchor to the left of the portal.

An Ascendant Anchor is at the top of the spire (the building to the right of the first beacon). You must complete the Light the Way Triumph in order to access the spire. When you’re at the top, find the True Sight sign on the corner and use the platforms to reach the anchor over the edge.

This Ascendant Anchor is inside the caverns to the right of the ribcage area, which is to the right of the slow field. Go inside the caverns and walk up the middle of the ribcage to find a rock on the wall that can be destroyed with Ager’s Scepter. Destroy the rock and then use the Barrier Breach ability to grab it.

Another Ascendant Anchor is in the caverns to the right of the ribcage. You will need to use the Barrier Breach and True Sight ability to go through the barrier at the top of the cavern. The anchor is out on one of the platforms.

The final Ascendant Anchor is right before the boss room. Go inside the anteroom and look for the breakable rock next to the stairs on the right. Break the rock using Ager’s Scepter and claim your final anchor.

Collecting all of the Ascendant Anchors is going to take several weeks’ worth of effort. The anchors are on a weekly schedule, so if you miss some one week, you will need to wait until they cycle back around.
