Not only are they a great way for Dota 2 players to earn cool rewards and connect with the championships, it's also a fine way to directly support teams and athletes by contributing to the growing prize pool. First things first: The International 2019 Battle Pass is not free. With that said, it's not exactly expensive, either. Battle Passes are sold in three different tiers or levels, each one with their own specific benefits.

In a nutshell, the Battle Pass gives Dota 2 players access to loads of special features. For 2019, this includes the Wrath of Mo'Rokai Custom Mode, the Jungle Expedition route and rewards, special consumable rewards, and a host of different bonuses notably including:
It's worth keeping in mind that many of these bonuses must be earned through play, hence the shortcut offered through buying Battle Passes at increasing levels. Players who know they won't have the time (or the skill!) to progress through the ranks can unlock most of these exclusive rewards simply by spending more money. With all that said, the Dota 2 Battle Pass-specific goodies are only available to those who purchase at least the standard Battle Pass. Regardless of which level is purchased, 25% of all Battle Pass sales will be put into The International 2019 prize pool. At the time of writing, the prize pool is currently sitting at $32,869,827. That's right, almost $33 million.
It's one thing to watch The International Dota 2 Championship 2019 live, but it's something else entirely to pick up a battle pass and join the action for yourself.
