Super Mario Maker 2 now lets players upload 64 levels

Super Mario Maker 2 fans have something to be excited about as we make our way through the middle of the week. Late last night many users began to receive notifications via the in-game notification system staying that Super Mario Maker 2’s original 32 course upload limit had been raised to 64, giving players double the number of uploads they can make and share with the world.

This is a pretty huge step for those who enjoy creating courses and sharing them with the world. While 32 courses might seem like a lot, those who spend a lot of time playing Super Mario Maker 2 and creating courses will no doubt have reached that limit before too long. With the new 64 course upload limit, users will be able to share even more of their creations with the world. On top of this increase, though, the notification also mentioned that Nintendo will be raising the 64 course upload cap one more time.

There’s no ETA on when the course upload limit will be increased again, but at least creators know it’s coming. For now, though, you’ll need to make do with the 64 slots that you have available. If you’re looking for some great Super Mario Maker 2 courses to try out, then be sure to check out our guide. You can also follow Shacknews on Twitter, as we’ll often retweet some of our favorite course codes out there for others to try out.

It shouldn’t be that surprising to see the course upload limit raised, especially when you consider that there have already been over two million courses uploaded in Super Mario Maker 2. That’s a whole lot of Mario packed into one experience, and we’d definitely suggest trying out some of the great courses that others have put together.
