G1 Optimus Prime (pictured left) and Soundwave will be among the ten-plus new playable characters included in the pack, joining the previously pictured Sideswipe and G1 Starscream.
We still don't know exactly when the downloadable pack will hit PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, though it's said to be some time this summer, or how much it will cost. However, we do know that, alongside the new characters, it'll sport three more multiplayer maps, an "expert" difficulty mode, and new achievements and trophies.
Said to appeal to both fans of the original animated series and the more recent films, the as-yet-unpriced download will deliver over ten new characters, three new multiplayer maps, and an "expert" difficulty level alongside more achivements and trophies.
Only two of the new robots, Sideswipe and G1 Starscream, were mentioned in the announcement, with all of the new robots usable in both single and multiplayer modes.
