A new set of screenshots from Square Enix's upcoming action RPG The World Ends With You (NDS) were released this weekend, showing off the game's freshly localized battle and menu systems.

Featuring a distinctive art style crafted by Square Enix designer Tetsuya Nomura, The World Ends With You is an adventure set in modern-day Tokyo and heavily influenced by contemporary Japanese culture.

The game was developed by Square Enix in collaboration with Japanese studio Jupiter, which previously developed Picross DS and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories (GBA). The World Ends With You will hit North America on April 22.
