South Park XBLA Game Arrives October 7

Ending an extended period of silence, Microsoft has provided details and a release date for the downloadable South Park Xbox Live Arcade game announced last summer.

Slated to hit October 7--the same day that new episodes of the show debut on Comedy Central--"South Park Let's Go Tower Defense Play!" is said to be "a fast-paced action/strategy game that combines these loveable characters with snowball battles and tower defense tactics."

The game is being developed by South Park Digital Studios and Microsoft, with the latter today describing itself as "that crazy little band of outlaws who brought you hilarious products like Microsoft SQL Server Management Express 2008 Service Pack 1."
