As promised, a demo of Day 1 Studios' terrain-deforming action game Fracture (PS3, 360) is now available to Xbox 360 owners through the console's online Marketplace.

The PlayStation 3 demo is expected to arrive later today, as part of Sony's traditional Thursday update to the system's online PlayStation Store.

Published by LucasArts, Fracture arrives in-stores on October 7.

Faylor's Take: While verifying the demo's availability, I noticed that the the Xbox Live category description for Fracture reads: "Buy this wonderful game now!"

I haven't played Fracture yet, so I can't say much else, but I thought that was amusing. That text is usually just a generic description of the game.

Publisher LucasArts announced that a demo for Day 1 Studios' shooter Fracture will hit the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network on September 18.

The demo will include a small portion of the game's single-player campaign, which allows the player to use terrain deformation to create cover and solve puzzles.

The finished game will arrive on October 7 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Today sees the arrival of new screenshots from Day 1 Studios' terrain-deforming shooter Fracture. The shots show various teams working together in action.

Fracture is due out on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this October.

A new gameplay video and two small screenshots from Day 1 Studios' Fracture (PS3, 360) has emerged, offering a look at the Atlantic Alliance's terrain-warping TDV-1 vehicle.

The TDV-1 makes use of the same terrain-deforming capabilities as seen elsewhere in the game, able to shape and mold surrounding earth into ramps for quick launches.

Fracture is scheduled to arrive at retailers this coming October.

A new video of Day 1 Studios' Fracture has arrived courtesy of publisher LucasArts, showcasing one of the earlier missions in the terrain-warping shooter.

Fracture is slated to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this October.

LucasArts today released a new trailer for Fracture, the terrain-morphing shooter in development by Day 1 Studios.

The trailer focuses on the backstory of Fracture's appropriately-fractured world, explaining how the United States got chickenpox from global warming, and how something called the Pacificans could possibly be deadly. Fracture is set to hit PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this October.

GameSpot has new Fracture impressions, checking out the terraforming action game from Day 1 Studios at CES.

LucasArts has released a trailer for Fracture (X360/PS3) that was marked as new (but wasn't!) showing off some pretty nifty terrain deformation. For some reason we didn't carry this when it first came out a little while ago so here you go, some late night viewing. Pretty sure the screenshots are new though!
