Ace Attorney Trailer: A Whipping Good Time

Poor Detective Gumshoe. He can't ever seem to catch a break, especially with mistress Franziska von Karma carrying that whip on her person at all times. I know he's meant to be comic relief and all, but after the last four Ace Attorney games, I'm starting to feel bad.

But, back on point, Capcom has released a nearly four-minute gameplay clip from the latest in its Nintendo DS courtroom adventure series, Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth. This one leaves behind the defense attorney heritage of past entries and puts players in the role of a prosecutor. It's due in North America on February 16, 2010.

The latest in Capcom's Ace Attorney series ships off to North American retailers on February 16, 2010, the company announced today as part of its Comic-Con festivities.

Whereas the past four Ace Attorney games have seen players assume the role of a beleaguered defense attorney, Ace Attorney Investigation: Miles Edgeworth (DS) has players acting as prosecutor Miles Edgeworth and investigating crime scenes.

The fifth entry in Capcom's beloved Ace Attorney adventure series is coming to North America and Europe in Nintendo DS form this winter, the publisher announced today.

Instead of Phoenix Wright or Apollo Justice, this entry centers on the recurring Miles Edgeworth character. And whereas previous games had players examining portraits of crime scenes in first-person, this one lets players walk around in third-person.
