Consoles and FPS Games

22
There's an article on Mercury Center that discusses the upcoming ports of FPS games on consoles (thanks Stomped). Consoles might finally be able to run Quake3 and Half-Life, but does it actually mean it will be more fun to play? First person shooters generally don't work well with consoles. Sure you can add a keyboard and mouse to it, but traditional console owners don't want that additional cost. All the more reason why PC gaming won't die just yet (but we knew that).

And in another console news, Sony still hasn't been able to stop emulators for the Playstation as a judge today allowed Connectix to continue selling their Virtual Game Station Playstation emulator and said he would wait for a lower court's rules on Sony's claim of unfair competition by Connectix. Sony started legal procedures against Connectix early last year but the VGS is still being sold.
