Quake Finished in 52 Minutes with 100% Completion

37
Many of you may have seen this video, but there's nothing else going on today, so I'm posting this here because it is awesome. This is a stitched video of every level of Quake being completed at 100%, meaning all kills and all secrets on every level on Nightmare difficulty (via Reddit).

Now, each level was recorded separately and some hacking tools were used to start the next level with the previous level's inventory, but there was no hacking or cheating in the actual level runs. Ten players contributed runs to the project.

Oh, and you're going to hear the shotgun a lot.

Quake 1,3,QL - Best competitive games ever made on PC - well, you can throw CS in there too.

Brood Wars takes issue with that. They are certainly at the pinnacle though

I'd add UT (during the WCG years) and UT2004

Wanted to gives us something to laugh? Epic is and was allways the MC Donalds of shooters. Allways trying to mask the missing depth with bright colors. That's why thy went the console way. They lost the shooter wars on PC hands down.

And for the peeps who still don't understand, Quake = SuperMeatBoy in 3d with weapons. Great physics and responsivness to input = great game. No matter how good it looks, the mechanics "which make a game a game" have to be smooth and with good amount of depth.

            I dunno dude, I competed in the WCG's for UT2004..... I prefer Q3 by far, but UT2004 is a close 2nd.

It's definitely a blob of poo OOB, but with some tweaking its a pretty solid 1v1 or 2v2 TDM game.

Pretty much this. Quake 3 is by far the best duel shooter but UT2004 comes pretty damn close. Such an awesome game with some pretty cool ideas. I loved the delay of armors in the first seconds of the match. Nice idea.
