Star Wars Kinect Game Due Out Holiday 2011

Kudo Tsunoda, creative director for Kinect at Microsoft, has revealed to the BBC (via 1UP) that the Star Wars Kinect game, shown at E3 2010, will be released in Holiday 2011.

Tsunoda told BBC, "We have a Kinect Star Wars game coming out for next holiday [Christmas 2011]." He continued, "I think you could just easily imagine being a Jedi and using Kinect to make you feel you're part of a Star Wars experience, building yourself up into a Jedi."

The title was shown to press at E3 2010 at the Kinect reveal / Cirque du Soleil show, but it did not appear to be a live demo. The footage showed off Force powers and lightsaber use, likely tied to body movements.

Seems like lightsabers are definitely where Move has the advantage.

I'd say not having Tsunoda working for you is definitely a bigger advantage.

Seems like MS could add support for tracking something you are holding. If they did a good job they might even be able to track it when you get all fancy and throw it around.
