One of the changes in the PSP v6.30 firmware update--verified by Shacknews--is the ability to sort the PSP's folder of installed games by their type, with options for PSP, Minis, PSone, PCEngine and NEOGEO. While Sony has yet to announce support for the vintage consoles, the options certainly imply that they'll be coming in some form.

A quartet of Neo Geo titles were rated by the ESRB for PlayStation 3 and PSP earlier this year, Kotaku noticed in March, hinting that the PS3 may well see support for these too. Several PC Engine titles are already available on the PlayStation Network in Japan.
