A lengthy Castlevania: Lords of Shadow trailer and E3 screenshots have arrived to show off the weird, wonderful and horrifying folks Gabriel Belmont will meet as battles to save his wife's soul in the console action-adventure title.

The trailer also gives a handy reminder of its impressive vocal cast, which features 'Trainspotting' and 'Ravenous' star Robert Carlyle as Gabriel, Natascha McElhone of 'Californication' fame alongside and Jean-Luc Picard himself, Sir Patrick Stewart.

Made by Clive Barker's Jericho developer MercurySteam in association with Metal Gear Solid masters Kojima Productions and published by Konami, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is scheduled for release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this fall.

Castlevania: Concerto of Impersonation.............I think I'm more interested in that high res 2D Castlevania I saw something about. This looks like God of War.

Really? It looks like every fast paced third person action game. This game looks amazing. Also, being compared to GoW is a GOOD thing.

Ditto, I'm more interested in the "roots" of the game ala 2D. The game does remind me of every other 3D mele' game. God of War, Devil May Cry, etc... Obviously with the Castlevania tag.

That is my fear - that it will just be another brawler, but named Castlevania. I really hope they embrace the franchise and make sure it stands out.

Also, JASON FUCKING ISAACS. Love that dude.

It looks all kinds of amazing to me. I can't wait. It looks quite a bit more EPIC than I first imagined. And I only have a 360... so if this plays like God of Wars with a whip... then I might be ok with that. I've never played a GoW game before, but I've heard good things.
