Civ Rev Trailer Stars Shacknews' Jason Bergman

2K Games has provided a new trailer for Civilization Revolution, in which game producer, former Shacknews staffer and regular commentor Jason Bergman discusses the game's various units.

Registered users can use the HD Stream.

Developed by Firaxis Games, Civilization Revolution will supply PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS owners with Sid Meier's turn-based strategic goodness on July 8.

Semi-off-topic: Bergman was the writer who made me a regular Shack reader and also inspired me to apply twice for the LNC position. Congrats, Jason! You and your team did a fine job. I am addicted to the demo and will be buying a 360 edition and two DS editions (one for me, one for the woman, who is also addicted) the moment it becomes available here in the States.

What I like most about CivRev (from the hours I've sunk into the demo, of course) is how the team managed to efficiently compress all the regular Civ details into a console interface. It's tight and not at all unwieldy, which is a true accomplishment. I was worried about Civ being consolized, and it was - but perfectly and without any real hit to what makes the games so great.

Again, great job. You'll get at least $130 out of me come launch day!

  IAWTP 100%, couldn't have stated my feelings about it better myself. I'm also getting it on 360 on launch day, and may end up picking up a DS version as well.
