A new downloadable song pack for Guitar Hero II will hit Xbox Live Marketplace tonight at 4 AM CDT, RedOctane announced through Guitar Hero score site ScoreHero. The three-song pack will cost 500 Microsoft Point ($6.25) and include songs from a trio of metal outfits.

The pack features "Detonation" from the Orlando metalcore group Trivium, "Right Side of the Bed" from the Neverending Story-referencing band Atreyu, and "Bury the Hatchet" from Canadian prog-metal group Protest the Hero.

The pack will be the sixth downloadable song pack for the 360 version of Guitar Hero II, the last being the August 14 pack consisting of three songs from teenage makeup goth pop act My Chemical Romance.

Good song by Trivium but honestly I would have preferred the title track "The Crusade" off of that album, or if they really needed something short and with vocals maybe "Tread The Floods". $4 though... I think I'll wait and see.
