The Wii Sports Fitness Regimen

Making a bit more sense than the latest bout of Wii-related news, which saw the system integrated into cruise ships, Scottish fitness trainer Zander Urquhart has added the video game console and its Wii Sports game to the training regimen he offers.

Though unconventional, Urquhart's use of video games towards fitness is far from unheard of. Earlier this year, a writer from WiiNintendo.net blogged about an experiment in which he played thirty minutes of Wii Sports daily, leaving him 9 pounds lighter after 6 weeks. Konami's Dance Dance Revolution has been implemented into fitness programs in West Virgina's public school system, as well as 24 Hour Fitness and Nexgym facilities.
