First things first: the creators of the perpetually delayed Phantom Game Service claim that their product still exists.

That said, the product is no longer a physical console. Rather, it will be PC-only subscription software that will allow users to download games from the online Phantom Game Service. This will be coupled with the separate Phantom Lapboard product, the wireless lap-based keyboard/mousepad setup that the company has been claiming it will sell separately for some time now. Along with this news came a relaunched official site detailing the new Phantom and containing an online store from which one can buy the Phantom Lapboard for the low price of $129.99. The Lapboard is now set for release this November. Phatom Entertainment will be exhibiting at the upcoming Games Convention in Leipzig but, to no great surprise, there is no projected release date for the Phantom Game Service itself.
