Late Night Consoling

So, there it is. The Xbox 360. Slick or shit? Personally, I believe it'll look just dandy next to my DVD player and TiVo, but I understand many of you have qualms about it not being black. It definitely looks like Microsoft has taken another page out of Apple's playbook with the design, but hey, nothing wrong with that. Now comes the intriguing parts.. what is that slot on the right? Is it even a slot? If it is for the hard drive, that doesn't align with the rumors of last night and the Ourcolony.net pic. As for the controllers, if they're wireless, where do they get their juice? Are there charge cradles or are they battery operated? Quite a bit revealed, yet so much left to learn. 20 more days, people!
  • First Real Image of the Xbox 360?

    [xbox]

Can it be true? The first actual image of the Xbox 360 console? According to reliable sources close to different sites around the 'net, this indeed is the final design of the Xbox 360. The most striking feature is lack of controller ports, signifying that the "all wireless" rumor may be true. As for the rest of the features, not quite sure what's what. The small button with the three curved lines next to it? Turn on/off wireless? Is that the hard drive slot all the way on the right? May 12th can't come soon enough!

  • Online Play Broken for WrestleMania XXI

    [xbox]

Xbox gamers were no doubt anxious to take the latest WWE title online, brawling with their buds across the country. Unfortunately, the just-released WrestleMania XXI has shipped with a completely broken Xbox Live component. It just won't connect. THQ blames a manufacturing error at the plant. They hope to resolve it soon with a downloadable patch.

  • Sony Cracks Under Pressure

    [ps2]

Just two days ago it was reported that government officials in Bangladesh were upset over the use of their country as a setting in the upcoming SOCOM 3, unhappy that they were associated with terrorism. Sony has quickly given in to their demands and will remove any and all references to the country. "Within the storyline of SOCOM 3, there has never been any reference to Bangladesh supporting, or harboring terrorists and/or other criminal activities," said a Sony spokesperson. It's not yet known if a different country will take its place or if it will just remain nameless or fictional.
