Sunday Afternoon ShackReviews

34

The amount of releases this week is simply staggering; twenty three new titles added to store shelves and into our database. What's interesting is that not one title absolutely steals the spotlight but the majority of them are able to compete in their own right. What I'm getting at is we just have a broad range of above average titles and I'm not sure where to begin. We all have our work cut out for us, so chop chop! Let's get working on those reviews! As always, if there's a game you want in the database, see if it's already there and if not, request it!

Last Sunday, my primary television decided to up and die so I've been without my consoles for the week. Now, with hurricane Jeanne bearing down on me as of this writing (Saturday evening), I think the only game I'll be playing this weekend is "Stay Away from the Windows." I tried unsuccessfully to purchase Katamari Damacy but again I could only locate a pre-opened copy at EBgames. Instead, I gamed on my PC; a little United Offensive followed by a ton of The Sims 2. My married Sims are approaching old age and it's a hard realization to know that they both will die soon. =( There's also this under-the-radar title I've been giving time to: The Political Machine. You run the 41-week campaign of a presidential candidate and try to land him or her in the White House while discrediting your opponent. It uses real political figures, so create your own dream team and you can even use dead Presidents such as Lincoln and FDR. The best part is that it includes online multiplayer which I've been playing much of with my political-savvy buddies. So wish me luck guys; let's hope I'm back Monday night!

Wow, that IS a lot of good games 0_o

I can't wait to finally see how some of them stack up against each other in terms of Shack favorism.

The one I'm most interested in is Rome -vs- Warhammer 40K. Different games completely, but I can't wait to see which style the shack is more partial towards :)
