3D Multiplayer Patent?

16
Hey it's stupid patent day! Finally got my email back up and running thanks to some help by the man Dan at Verio and this showed up in the old inbox from Reid. Worlds.com has been awarded a patent for what equates to every 3d multiplayer game being played right now.

"a highly scalable architecture for a three-dimensional graphical, multi-user, interactive virtual world system. A plurality of users can interact in the three-dimensional, computer-generated graphical space where each user executes a client process to view a virtual world from the perspective of that user. [snip]"

... and what Worlds.com is saying:

"Our intention is to market this technology to our current partners as well as to organizations, companies and other sites that have been looking for new and unique ways to involve mass audiences in their products, applications and services" ... "We will also review other 3D sites who may be using our technology to ensure we are fully compensated."

I do believe this will be shot down with the whole 'prior art' clause but its amazing what guys can get a patent on.
