Bandai Namco has announced Dragon Ball Fusions, its action/RPG take on the Dragon Ball universe, will be releasing in North America on December 16.

Dragon Ball Fusions allows players to create their avatar and recruit members from the Dragon Ball series for battle, such as Vegeta, Trunks, Goku, Gohan, and more. Players will be given the opportunity to fuse Dragon Ball characters in order to become better combatants by obtaining new powers only available through fusing.

A total of five different races will be available: Earthling, Saiyan, Aliens, Offworlder, and Namek. You can customize the gender and voices of the first four races, but it appears Nameks only have one gender. Customization options include hair styles, skin color, and clothes.

Dragon Ball Fusions is scheduled to release in North America on December 16 on the Nintendo 3DS.
