Developer Larian Studios has been quietly plodding along on its highly anticipated sequel to Divinity: Original Sin, and now they are ready to let fans get their hands on Divinity: Original Sin 2.

The successful Kickstarter game will make its debut on Steam Early Access on September 15. Players will get access to origin stories of four of the game's characters (more will be added throughout early access), as well as be able to try out the new character creation system with five different races. The turn-based gameplay has been improved from the original game, and several new features have been added, while attempting to keep the best features of the first game. The game is also expanding to allow four-player co-op instead of two-player Free-for-All, Capture the Flag and King of the Hill.

If you didn't back the Kickstarter, the game is selling for $44.99 on Steam. The game will also eventually make its way to GOG, where players already selected a special NPC - Eithne, the wandering librarian - that will be available only in that version of the game.
