I actually felt a little sorry for the guy. If I was him I would have hidden in a cave for a couple of years. I don't think Romero or Carmack will ever be able to put out something like DoomII or Q1 again. They were like the Chicago Bulls of the 90's. It was just the right chemistry, in the right place, at the right time. They were working as a team and they all complimented each other. Then they all got rich and told each other to fuck off. Now look at them.............

If you go over to fileplanet.com you will notice that the US version of the Daikatana 1.2 patch has been downloaded a whopping 288 times!

Just to put this in purspective the Q3 1.17 patch has been downloaded 204,571 times from them...

I tried this game
tried not to bag it
tried it with the patches
etc

it was just unstable and unreliable, bye bye

it truely is a pile of shit people - try it for yourself and see
(god i was praying for it to get better, there has to be some great levels in 4 episodes, but i could only hold on for 5 or 6 levels of episode one before i realised i would die if i put up with it any further.)

I actually started out hating this Daikacrappa game. The last LAN party we were at, I actually had some fun with the Multiplayer aspect of it. I was so utterly shocked. I think I pissed myself, too. I downloaded the latest patched, started it patching, and left the room. I came back 45 minutes later, and it was about 97% done patching. Ridiculous. I think The Romero needs to take a look at his patch code and think, "hmmm... does the average gamer want to sit and wait for an hour for my Daikacrappa patch to finish?" Hell no.
