Id recently announced that Doom's multiplayer is under its auspices. At Bethesda's BE3 press conference, studio reps confirmed that new SnapMap modes will be added to the game, including a free-for-all (FFA) reminiscent of the 1993 original's innovative deathmatch mode.

Doom: Unto the Evil, the game's first premium expansion, adds three new maps: Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual. A brand new demon known as the Harvester will also enter the fray.

Other new additions include a gun and equipment, although no specifics were divulged.

Outside of Unto the Evil, a premium expansion, Doom will receive free updates to multiplayer: Hexodus, a CTF mode, and Sector, a territory-holding mode.
