QdQ With a Vengeance

Dear lord they went through that fast.
I've never seen any of their other stuff, so this blew me away.

it's pretty funky shit, although i find the co-op one in 14 minutes cooler for some reason

I wasn't too impressed. While I know i could get flamed for that, i say such things with a reason. =P I think the QDQ guys could have done this fast a long time ago, but they decided not to. Remember when the first speed q2 demos came out? QDQ kinda slammed the demos by saying that they bunny hopped their way through, we don't do that, we only strafe jump at key points. Then qdq2 was released with only critical strafe jumps. It was always speed with innovation, not bunny hopping. Now they threw away all that and pretty much bunny hopped to all hell. Sure it's entertaining, but i was really hoping to see what they had come up with. I was disappointed to see it pretty much the same stuff, only with some new tricks allowed by their bunny hopping speed. Kind of a letdown. But still it was a good show. Just wish it stuck with tradition.

Heh this owns. YES Ppl still play quake (frogbots own! h3h).

perhaps the most impressive demo of any fps ever released...... even if you haven't played q1 singleplayer... you'll die when you see what they've accomplished..... the 180deg rj's off monster's heads are enuf to make your mom wet.

I remember watching this demo before..

As I remember correctly, there is a way to slow everything down in quake. planetQuake made it a semi-mod of the week, entitled "Matrix quake" (even tho there is a Matrix mod now). It let you slow the speed of everything in singleplayer so as you could essentially dodge nails/lightning/projectiles. Pretty cheap. And you could record a demo and play it back at normal speed too. With you dodging the nails and all.

and that double jumping shit is hard.. esp in quake.

Un-%$@#n-Believable, this is so awsome... one that stands out is "The Installation" E2M1 in like 7 seconds. OMG this really is a must see.
