[Update: It appears Capcom is currently running an internal stress test on Street Fighter 5's servers. "This is to help us get the first official public beta program re-launched as quickly as possible," the company writes on the official Street Fighter Twitter account. "We appreciate your continued patience and we’ll share more information on the timing of the official beta tests soon."]

Capcom has released an update for the Street Fighter 5 beta today that brings it to version 1.02, although the beta itself is still offline.

The update for the Street Fighter 5’s beta client improves its login process and optimizes its matchmaking. While the 1.2GB update should improve everyone’s experience with the beta, the game is still currently offline after it’s launch didn’t go according to plan.

Today’s update could be seen as Capcom preparing to launch the beta once again, although as of this writing, we have yet to hear any official confirmation from the publisher.

We’ve reached out to Capcom and will update this story accordingly.
