Mortal Kombat X: How to Unlock Everything in the Shrine of the Dead

A complete guide to every item you can unlock in the Shrine of the Dead

The Krypt is one of the biggest challenges posed to players who have picked up Mortal Kombat X and wish to unlock all of the Brutalities, Fatalities, and even the small things like Kutie Icons and Backgrounds. We’ve already covered how to find everything else in the Krypt, which you can locate using our detailed guide. However, if you’re really looking to grab everything you’re going to have to spend a lot of time gambling away your Koins in the Shrine of the Dead, don’t worry though. We also have a guide for that.

To unlock these rewards, and even be able to gamble at the Shrine of the Dead, you’ll need to head to the Dead Woods Cemetery and locate the Shrine’s at coordinates -11, 13. But before you can enter you’ll need to use Jax’s Rocket Launcher to open the entrance at -11, 11. Now it’s time to gamble away your life savings.

Wait. Before you start needlessly spending Koins, let me give you a couple of tips… If you want to maximize your possible profits, and therefore maximize the amount of times you can gamble… you should always bet 2,100 Koins. This doesn’t cost you a lot, and each time you gamble you have a chance to either unlock one of the many items listed below, or win back anywhere from 50 percent up to 200 percent of your original bet. Bottom line, using this method to gamble in the Shrine, won’t break your Koin purse, and will allow you to get in more consecutive bets without having to leave to earn more Koins.
