Meta Knight's made quite an impact in the Super Smash Bros. series as of late, so it's only fair that he make a comeback in the forthcoming Wii U and 3DS versions of the game.

In a Miiverse update, director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that the character will be making his return, complete with sword in hand and a new Up Special Move that can really do some damage.

For good measure, the Battleship Halberd stage will be available, letting players battle with each other while riding along it.

Look for Super Smash Bros. on 3DS on October 3rd, and later in the year for Wii U.
