Mario Kart 8 is getting an unexpected bit of downloadable content in Japan. The Mercedes Benz GLA will be available this summer for free, as a co-marketing deal between Nintendo and the car manufacturer. No word on whether it will be coming westward, but the Japanese ads look absolutely bonkers. The ad itself starts off cute and nostalgic, and then takes a sudden turn for the bizarre. A pair of screenshots (via Game Watch Impress) show how it will actually look in-game, which is far less weird. But honestly, still kind of weird.
