CD Projekt RED, developer of The Witcher series, is working on a mobile game. It's scheduled to launch "very soon."
"Smartphones and tablets are truly powerful platforms these days and are finally giving us the ability to develop mobile games we would like to play ourselves," studio co-founder Adam Kiciński said.
According to Eurogamer, the game has been in development by an "external partner" for a year, and it will be officially revealed and launched soon. "It's a multiplatform mobile game, made with advanced technological capabilities of tablets and smartphones in mind," a management report notes. "Thus, we are entering a completely new territory in terms of gameplay and business model, realizing our strategic plans to enter the mobile gaming market."
While not announced as a game based on The Witcher (pictured above), given that a "brand" was being licensed to the partner dev, it seems likely.
