Diddy Kong has become the latest addition to the growing Smash Bros for Wii U and 3Ds roster, bringing the grand total so far up to 24.
Hot on the heels of Little Mac, Donkey Kong's industrious little buddy Diddy Kong is the latest to enter the Smash Bros arena. Game director Masahiro Sakurai said the reveal was in honor of today's Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze release, and he shared some details on how Diddy controls.
Paired with a screen of Diddy giving an attack very evocative of Dhalsim from Street Fighter, Sakurai stated on the Miiverse that this iteration of the character focuses on flexibility. "This picture shows how far his punches stretch during his strong side attack," Sakurai said.
This makes him the 24th entrant in the growing roster of Smash characters, and Nintendo has been slowly releasing new character reveals regularly. With a release date still not set, there's still time for plenty more to join the fray.
