Drakengard 3 flies onto PS3 on May 20; Collector's Edition and pre-order bonuses detailed

Those with a casual interest in riding a dragon into battle may wish to know that Square Enix has announced Drakengard 3 will launch on May 20, exclusively on PlayStation 3. Those with a certain fondness for dragon fights may be interested to know it's also announced three-tier program of timed pre-order bonuses. And if you really flipping ruddy love dragons, well, an $80 Collector's Edition has been revealed too.

The Collector's Edition, limited to 5,000 copies, includes a novella based upon the game, a soundtrack sampler CD, a poster, three DLC packs--a prequel level starring hero Zero's sister One, a costume of the original Drakengard's hero Caim, and, ah, a 'Giant Baby Hat' for your dragon--plus all three of the pre-order bonuses.

And what are those? Oh! They'll be spread across three tiers, depending on quite when pre-orderers put their money down. From now until March 3, pre-ordering will get you a Japanese voiceover pack DLC plus the two other, yet un-revealed bonuses. From March 4 to April 8, you'll only get those two. And from April 9 until the May 20 launch, you'll only get one.
