id's Cancelled Game

First Post, Fellas.

That's okay; Quake was originally going to be Daikatana. It's good that they can spot a flop before devoting a lot of time to it.

Does any1 think that maybe id could go into a lil alliance with another company to make this quest game along with DooM 2k. Its not like id is the only people that make games so why not get them both done and then release em a lil bit apart or so. Any Ideas for it??

I was in Germany for a month and saw like 20,000 people in the streets and such... I counted 11 ugly/fat chicks the whole time, and I belive at least half were british or americans.... The women wore tighter clothes, sometimes w/o a bra.. it was great.

One of the best chicks I saw though was on the way back (it was in the airport in frankfurt, she was dutch..... omg she was hot.

Quest sound much cooler than...gasp...another tired FPS based on an even older FPS. LAME!!!!

There is no way id can possibly replicate the excellence that was Doom 2. Quite frankly, I think they are a little misguided for even trying.

Ever since Doom 2, id's games have gone downhill as the demands of content creation and polishing have gotten the better of their team.

Want an example? The 30 seconds of rendered goodness (produced by Digital Anvil) followed by the minute-or-so of utter crap that passed for the Q3A intro.

If the downward spiral continues, and there's nothing to suggest that it won't, Doom 3 will suck. But I'm hope it doesn't...

But Quest sounds like it will be a lot better than any new Doom game. It almost sounds a little like Dark Sector.

I am going to buy a RPG after work today. Any suggestions? P.S. I have never played one before, as a matter of fact I haven't played much outside of Madden and FPS's.
What is the current best RPG? Is Diablo 2 a RPG?

deus ex looked like shit on my geforce2.... i think the best fps-rpg i've played was system shock 2,... after a while it got a little weird but it was still coo

I also think that judging from the content in q3a, this rpg game would have been pretty strange, or not that good, but we won't know for sure. they might have pulled it off....

I hope they do that star wars rpg game right,...

FF3 Was so damn good. It wasn't just a simple plot, + it was large as hell. Kinda like 2 damn games in one. FF3 is my favorite

thanks guys I think I am going to either get Dues Ex (even though it is a FPS at heart) or Icewind Dale (I am going to revolt against the masses and not get Diablo 2 cause I heard both games are good so I might as well get the least popular one, I know it doesn't make much sense but I am weird like that)
