Warner Bros has given an utterly unsurprising release date for its game adaptation of The Lego Movie, ingeniously titled The Lego Movie Videogame. It's coming to PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, 3DS, and Vita in February 2014, to coincide with the February 7 release of the animated feature.
The announcement trailer shows off some bits of gameplay interspersed with clips from the movie. Like the film, the game stars Emmet, an ordinary guy who is mistaken for a prophesized savior called "The Special." It will feature 90 playable characters and 15 stages, and, also like the movie, boasts an animation style that simulates the limited movement of real Lego sets.
Despite this latest footage being called an "announce trailer," the publisher actually announced its existence way back in July. Video game reveals are a funny, flexible thing.
