Watch Dogs open world video is Ubisoft potpourri

Ubisoft acknowledges a certain amount of crossover in its games, and Watch Dogs seems like a prime example. A lengthy new walkthrough of its open world gameplay shows various bits and pieces from games like Splinter Cell and Assassin's Creed.

The walkthrough, narrated by animation director Colin Graham, shows protagonist Aiden Pearce sneaking into a compound like Sam Fisher. Once inside, he hacks a machine to gain him access to a wealth of information in the area, similar to climbing towers in Assassin's Creed and Far Cry.

From there, Aiden relies on Chicago's predictive modeling software to find a crime about to happen and intervene. After that he gets a little less noble, hacking into a private webcam and chasing another hacker-player through the crowded streets with a gun. The video then shows how you can enter the other player's game, blending in similarly to Assassin's Creed multiplayer, for some good old-fashioned retribution.
