Team Ninja has detailed a host of multiplayer features for Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate, including a brand new online two-on-two tag team mode--a first for the franchise.
Other tweaks for the Ultimate edition include smoother online play, lower search times for matches, and more than double the number of costumes to unlock. It's due on September 3 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with a free-to-play version also coming to PS3.
Another significant addition for the Ultimate edition is the number of costumes. Whereas the original DOA5 included 114 costumes from the game, DOA5U will include 231 costumes. Players will need to compete and win online to unlock the entire selection.
