The announcement came from the game's Facebook page. According to the game's official site, play is recommend on iPad 2 or later and on Android 2.2 tablets with Tegra 2 chips or better. You can visit Nvidia for a listing of compatible devices.
Wizards of the Square Tablet is custom-fitted for tablet devices, coming from mobile and handheld developer Ludosity instead of the original game's studio, Arrowhead. It's a little more colorful (and a lot bloodier) than the original game, but so far seems to keep the game's vision intact.
