Garnett Lee is joined by Andrew Yoon and TRS' Dan Trachtenberg. Jeff Cannata is AWOL, presumably because he's still waiting to join a SimCity server. Dan kicks things off with yet another loving tribute to perennial show-favorite, Dark Souls. Listen as he tries to convince Garnett that From Software's hack 'n slasher is, somehow, just like a racing game. But, Garnett counters with Real Racing 3--a racing game so real, it says so in the title. What does EA's freemium game mean for the future of the industry? Finally, we talk about SimCity eventually, but you'll have to wait at least an hour or so before that talk begins. But, you're used to that, right?

I'm not sure we're yet in the period of history where online games launch without problems. Mann Vs Machine was a total nightmare for about 72 hours after launch, and that was just 6 months ago. Diablo III, SimCity, almost every CoD game I've ever played, etc.

So if you're wondering why some people are saying 'this is still the norm', that's why. It's still the norm! That doesn't solve the frustration of people who are angry that MP kinks are entering their traditionally SP game, but they're not going to be less angry when the servers start working well in a week or a month.

      People should expect it, until they're given a reason not to expect it. I'm going to play the game, but I'm not stupid. I see the release date and say alright it should be good in about a week or two.
      
      Always online complain all you want piracy created that problem.
      
      I find iPhone iOS to be pretty jank on release, until the first few updates its not really a great product. Ever go to a store grand opening not great too crowded. Amusement parks new rides to crowded breaks down a lot. Plenty of others it's not a video game only problem new products don't always work as intended across the board.
